Head Chef Tom Ward
In his three year tenure at Steer Dining Room Tom began as Sous Chef after working for renowned Australian Chef John Torode in London. Tom was made Head Chef in 2014 and is steering the restaurant towards a two hat accolade. Tom has a passion for Asian cuisine that can be seen throughout the entire menu. He feels this is a unique yet obvious direction for a steakhouse within the Melbourne dining scene, as it pays homage to the origin of Wagyu beef, Japan. Together his team meticulously hand pick from Australian's best beef producers, providing arguably Melbourne's highest quality beef offering.
Sous Chef Jeffry
Sous Chef Jeffry Lim has been with Steer Dining Room since its inception five years ago as Steer Bar and Grill. Jeffry has seen Steer evolve and grow to be the finessed dining experience it is today. Jeffry is excited and driven by Steer's unique and consistent offering, he loves working closely with Australia's top beef producers, having developed an innate understanding of the produce used within the restaurant.
