Torbreck & Wagyu Wine Dinner

Steer Dining Room was proud to partner with the renowned Torbreck Vintners from Barossa for a splendid evening celebrating exceptional wine and fine food.

On the evening of November 16th, 2023, Steer Dining Room transformed into a realm of culinary and oenophilic delight. Guests were greeted by the promise of an extraordinary night, embarking on a sensory journey that led them through the vineyards of the Barossa Valley. It was an exploration of the diverse range of wines by Torbreck Vintners, a brand renowned for producing some of the finest wines in the world.

The setting was impeccable, with an opulent interior adorned with floor-to-ceiling curtains and meticulously set dining tables, setting the stage for the spectacular evening ahead.

The Torbreck wines, rooted in some of the oldest vines on Earth, told a story of time, dedication, and expertise. Guests were privileged to sample a Museum Release of the iconic RunRig, an experience rarely encountered.

However, what's a wine journey without a culinary counterpart? The Steer Dining Room culinary team had curated a degustation menu that mirrored the vibrant narrative of the bountiful summer harvest. Fresh local seafood and the highly-prized Wagyu beef from award-winning Mayura Station and Stone Axe Wagyu were the stars of the evening. The pièce de résistance was the Wagyu Beef Wellington, a sumptuous dish that could only be crafted from the finest beef.
